Hi, my name is Haley.
I was first diagnosed with cancer while I was still in high school — a time when most teenagers are thinking about prom, friends, and what they want to do with their lives. Instead, I was learning how to fight for mine. I went through aggressive treatments, long hospital stays, surgeries, and months of uncertainty. Somehow, I pushed through it all and made it into remission. I worked hard to rebuild my strength, my confidence, and my dreams for the future.
Sadly, cancer came back.
This time, I had to face words no one is ever prepared to hear — that my cancer is no longer considered curable. That reality changed everything, but it hasn’t taken away my will to fight, my hope, or the love I have for the people who surround me every single day.
My body has been through more than I ever imagined it could endure — countless treatments, complications, setbacks, and painful days — but I continue to show up, keep going, and find strength even on the hardest days. At just 23 years old, I’ve faced challenges no young person should ever have to face, but I choose to keep living with courage, grace, and gratitude.
When I’m feeling good, you’ll usually find me listening to country music — especially Morgan Wallen — cheering on the Pittsburgh Steelers, or spending time with my two beagles, Mya and Molly, who bring me so much comfort and joy.
My cousin is honoring me through St. Baldrick’s to help fund childhood cancer research — because research saves lives. Every breakthrough matters. Every dollar raised helps bring hope to families walking this journey now and in the future.
If my story can help inspire support, awareness, and progress toward better treatments and cures, then this fight means something bigger than just me. Thank you for standing with me and helping give hope to kids and families everywhere.
With love and hope,
Haley
