Following what seemed like a simple case of stubborn strep throat that didn’t respond to the first round of antibiotics, a routine blood test shocked Emmet’s family when their healthy, happy 6-year-old’s blood cell counts came back dangerously abnormal. In a matter of hours, he went from being dressed in his school uniform to being admitted to the pediatric oncology ward later that night. Soon after, Emmet was diagnosed with B-Cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL).
Cancer wasn’t something his family ever imagined facing, but Emmet has shown incredible strength and resilience every step of the way.
Today, Emmet is in 3rd grade and thriving. While he’s still in treatment for leukemia, he continues to show the same joy, determination, and courage that inspire everyone around him.
Participating in St. Baldrick’s is our way of honoring Emmet and the thousands of children facing childhood cancer. Every donation helps fund lifesaving research so that kids like Emmet can keep growing, learning, and doing what they do best—being kids.
Thank you for supporting childhood cancer research and for cheering on Emmet!
