My Story

At 2.5 years of age, Evelyn was diagnosed with B-Cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL). Thanks to cancer research, Evelyn’s chance of survival has dramatically increased from what it would have been just a few decades ago. We have found comfort in knowing that the survival rate for ALL in young children is very high, but we also recognize this is not the case for many other pediatric cancer diagnoses. Cancer research has a long way to go, and we hope that funding can continue to be made available so more children can beat cancer.
