On July 1, 2024, our brave little girl Lluvia, lovingly called “Juju,” was diagnosed with high-risk Neuroblastoma at The Children’s Cancer Institute at Hackensack Meridian Health in New Jersey. What began as a small bump near her eye quickly changed our world forever. Within days, she underwent surgery and began intense chemotherapy.
Over time, Juju faced more than most adults ever will, two bone marrow transplants, twelve rounds of radiation, and immunotherapy. For a moment, things looked hopeful, until doctors found that her cancer had relapsed in her lungs while still in treatment. She started another therapy, but it didn’t stop the cancer from progressing. Now, Juju is beginning a stronger round of chemotherapy, continuing her fight with incredible courage.
Juju is just three years old, yet she shines with so much intelligence, sweetness, and strength. Her laughter fills every room, even on the hardest days. Our family holds on to faith, believing that God still has a miracle written for her.
Please keep Lluvia “Juju” in your prayers and help us spread awareness for all the children fighting this battle.
