My Story

Thank you for supporting me and the more than 300,000 kids worldwide who will be diagnosed with cancer this year. By sharing the gifts of your time, talent and money with the St. Baldrick’s Foundation, you're supporting research to give all kids with cancer a better chance for a cure. Michael was diagnosed with stage 4 Hodgkin's Lymphoma at 17 years old, just prior to entering his senior year of high school. As much as it was devastating to hear the word cancer, Michael was determined to Win his battle And advocate for others fighting this horrible disease and all forms of cancer. Michael refused to let cancer and treatment take over his life. Instead, Michael chose a healthy diet loaded with protein, vegetables and fruit, continued to see a personal trainer in the mornings before school, attend all football practices and games , competed as a competitive bowler and in addition to attending high school, completed nine college credits while receiving 12 rounds of chemotherapy. On January 16th 2025 Michael rang his bell. On August 22nd, 2025, Michael began his freshman year at Spring Arbor University as a Collegiate Bowler studying Health and Exercise Science in hopes of pursuing his dream as an NFL Athletic Trainer.
