My Story

Thank you for supporting me and the more than 300,000 kids worldwide who will be diagnosed with cancer this year. By sharing the gifts of your time, talent and money with the St. Baldrick’s Foundation, you're supporting research to give all kids with cancer a better chance for a cure. Noah was born with multiple challenges including cerebral palsy, seizure disorder, blindness, and extreme hypersensitivity, but he loved life. He loved going to school , loved laughing and playing with his siblings, and loved any toy that made noise. During some routine bloodwork, he was diagnosed with ALL when he was 5. We were directly admitted to St Jude hospital the next day and spent 6 weeks in Memphis. Due to his level of disability, no one was really sure how the treatments would affect him, but he did quite well. He was able to return to school and we continued treatments at the Midwest St Jude affiliate in Peoria, IL. We celebrated his 6th birthday in August and traveled to Disney World on a Make a Wish trip in December. It was a magical time that our family will never forget. At the end of February 2004, the leukemia was back with a vengeance and Noah lost his battle on March 5, 2004. Because of money given to multiple different research facilities, we were given time to treasure our son. ALL had an 80% cure rate back in 2002 and it has progressed to 90% now. That is due to generously of people just like you. Please support these amazing organizations so no other mom has to bury a child. We love you, Noah.
