On October 20th 2021 Liam was admitted into the hospital in Moultrie Georgia due to dehydration and passing out while throwing up on October 21st 2021 a neurologist came in to see Liam and automatically wanted Liam to have a CT scan and when the CT scan came back she said that there was a 4 cm x 4 cm tumor on Liam's cerebellum covering the brain stem Liam was life flighted from Moultrie Georgia to wolfson's Wolfson Children's Hospital in Jacksonville Florida where he was taken into surgery while I was on the road heading to Jacksonville upon his arrival On October 22nd 2021 his oncologist Dr Klawinski told us that Liam had group 3 Medulloblastoma which is basically stage 3 brain cancer and spinal cancer not only did Liam have the cancer in his brain but he also had it in his spine on October 25th 2021 Liam went for a 5-hour brain surgery to remove the tumor off his cerebellum and brain stem On November 3rd 2021 Liam was released from the hospital to go to the Ronald McDonald House with me and about 9:30 10:00 p.m. I noticed Liam was really restless so I rushed him to pediatric hospital at wolfson's and Liam flatlined twice and had to go back in for emergency surgery due to him having hydrocephalus which is fluid on the brain Liam was put into a medically induced coma and did not come out of the coma until Thanksgiving Day of 2021 On January 12th 2022 Liam had a VP shunt placed in his head due to his hydrocephalus this mechanical device pulls the fluid off of Liam's brain and keeps them alive as long as he does not hit his head or anyone hits him in the head Liam went through 6 months of high dose chemo therapy 6 weeks Monday through Friday of high dose radiation treatments and 3 months of low dose chemotherapy on May 23rd 2022 we got the news that Liam was in remission.
