My Story

Ophelia was diagnosed with a malignant brain tumor (ependymoma) at 18 months old. She has endured two brain surgeries, 30 radiation treatments, over 100 days in the hospital, and countless other surgeries and procedures. Every donation to support childhood cancer awareness and research gives children and families like ours hope that one day there will be a cure. Ophie’s most recent scans were clear, however she will have MRIs every 3 months to monitor closely. She required a feeding tube and tracheostomy after her brain surgery and she and her family are currently focusing on rehab and recovery to get stronger each day.
