My Story

Maleia is fighting relentlessly against her diagnosis of Stage 4 B-cell prolymphocytic leukemia. Maleia received her diagnosis on October 7th, 2023, and since then, she has been enduring rigorous treatment protocols. She's currently undergoing a grueling five-day cycle of chemotherapy treatments at Hope Christ Children Hospital in Oak Lawn, Illinois. This intensive treatment regimen requires her to stay in the hospital for three to five days each time. Despite her moments of strength, Maleia's battle has taken a toll on her physical appearance. She has lost a staggering 90 pounds and most of her hair. It's a stark contrast to her former self as an AllStar athlete in softball and volleyball. Yet, her spirit remains unbroken as she continues to fight with unwavering determination.
