My Story

Landon finished treatment on May 25, 2023, rang the bell, and had his port removed on July 10, 2023. Now three years off treatment, Landon is excited to begin another school year cancer-free and no longer having to wear a mask. Landon was diagnosed with B-cell ALL and was classified in the lowest-risk group, B-ALL 1731 SR Favorable. Although he is now off treatment, the effects of his cancer treatment continue to impact his everyday life. He currently sees 10 different specialists as his family works to address the long-term side effects of treatment, including a brain injury, osteoporosis, motor deficits, neurocognitive and GI issues, compression fractures, auditory and visual processing challenges, ADHD, and sarcopenia. His family is also currently working with his medical team to better understand what is happening with his hips and pelvis. Treatment took a significant toll on Landon’s body, but it has never taken away his spirit. Through every challenge, his unstoppable determination and positive attitude continue to shine. Landon has come so far, and his strength and resilience are a beautiful reminder of just how much he has overcome. Most importantly, Landon is living life beyond cancer—and he continues to show the world that he is a fighter and a survivor.
