My Story

Mia is spunky, fun-loving, energetic kindergartener who loves spending time with family and friends. Diagnosed with undifferentiated embryonal sarcoma of the liver in January 2022, she finished treatment in late July. Mia endured months of hospital stays, chemotherapy, and surgery to remove the tumor and 75% of her liver’s right lobe. Her cancer has a high relapse rate (over 70%) so she will be monitored closely with scans every 3 months. Mia’s favorite holiday is Halloween. She loves all things spooky and painstakingly picks her costume (along with costumes for her family) each year.
