My Story

Hunter was diagnosed with an Optic Pathway Glioma (Brain Tumor) in April of 2020, at 15 months old. He started chemo in June of 2020, in October of 2020 it was determined that the chemo was not effective and his tumor was still growing. He was then switched to a combination of two different chemotherapies, which were effective in keeping his tumor stable. He finished this protocol in December of 2021 and was able to stay off of chemo for 6 months before his tumor started growing again. June 6, 2022 a shunt was placed to relieve fluid build up in his brain, then June 16th his second port was placed. He started a new chemo regimen July 11th and will be on this protocol for at least the next year. Hunter is now 3 and has continued to smile and spread joy throughout all his hardships. He loves music, dancing, cars and riding his balance bike.
