My Story

James was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia on September 23, 2018. His pediatrician had sent him to the emergency room after some concerning results in his routine bloodwork at his 3 year check-up. We were shocked and devastated by the diagnosis, since our active, silly, playful little boy didn’t “look” sick. While James is just beginning a difficult journey that will take years to get through, he is still the same strong, positive kid he always has been. We are a family full of hope for many more good days than bad in the future.  Thank you for supporting James and the more than 300,000 kids worldwide who will be diagnosed with cancer this year. By sharing the gifts of your time, talent and money with the St. Baldrick’s Foundation, you're supporting research to give all kids with cancer a better chance for a cure.
