Sweet little Freya has been a fighter since the day she was born. Arriving prematurely on December 31, 2023, she spent her first 43 days in the NICU, proving from the very beginning that she is stronger than most.

In July 2025, Freya was diagnosed with a rare and aggressive yolk sac germ cell teratoma that had spread from her abdomen to her lungs. After months of intensive chemotherapy, countless appointments, and a major surgery in October 2025, her family celebrated when the cancer was removed. But their relief was short-lived. Just months later, another cancerous tumor began to grow, and Freya is now facing an even more aggressive round of chemotherapy.

Adding to her challenges, Freya was recently diagnosed with Currarino Syndrome, a rare congenital disorder that causes ongoing bladder and bowel complications, infections, and the growth of masses that can be benign or cancerous.

Every three weeks, Freya and her parents travel to Ann Arbor for five days of treatment. Between chemo cycles, they make additional trips for lab work, port care, and transfusions when needed. The emotional, physical, and financial toll is immense.

Yet through it all, Freya continues to smile, love, and fight with a courage far beyond her years. The road ahead remains uncertain, but her strength inspires everyone around her. With the support of family, friends, and community, we remain hopeful that this brave little girl will win her battle against cancer.
