My Story

Rhyan has been a fighter since day one. She was born in April 2016 at 29 weeks weighing 3lbs 6oz. She spent 6 weeks in the hospital, she never needed oxygen or a vent. The doctors called her their Rockstar. She came home a healthy, amazing little girl.  Then in November 2017, our world came crashing down, I took her to the doctors for a lump on her stomach, the doctor immediately after feeling it, had told me he thought it was a Tumor. He then had a couple more doctors come in and examine her. We were sent for an ultrasound and later that night I got the news. That night we were sent to the hospital, which in return after more tests and an MRI, that hospital sent us to University of Michigan. There they had the best team to do Rhyan's surgery. They were able to remove all of the tumor along with her left kidney that it was attached to. She had to do 5 months of chemo and now is in remission.  Without foundations like this Rhyan wouldn't be the happy, amazing, and healthy little girl she is today. Thank you for supporting Rhyan and the more than 300,000 kids worldwide who will be diagnosed with cancer this year. By sharing the gifts of your time, talent and money with the St. Baldrick’s Foundation, you're supporting research to give all kids with cancer a better chance for a cure.
