My Story

Benjamin "Benji" Cruz is 3 years old and he was diagnosed with a stage 4 Yolk Sak tumor in his liver, which spread to his whole abdomen area and lymph nodes in Feb 2015. Due to the size of the tumors it made his lungs collapse and it also pushed his heart to the other side of his body literally. He was hooked to a ventilator and a heart monitoring machine and was admitted in the ICU for two long months under sedation. He had his surgery earlier in June and they removed 6 tumors. Right now he is tumor free. His oncologist ordered some more  chemo to make sure there isn't any cancer cells remaining in his body. Now he is on round number 5 and has one more to go and we pray he will stay in remission.
