My Story

On October 13th while eating dinner with her family, Hope complained of having trouble swallowing.  An inflamed tonsil was blocking her airway.  After a mad dash to the hospital and a week of antibiotics that provided no relief, the decision was made to have the tonsils removed.  On October 27th, biopsy results showed that the tonsil was cancerous.  A week later Hope was diagnosed with Large B-Cell Non-Hodgkin Lymphoma. Throughout it all, Hope remains a beacon of light providing hope to all that she comes in contact with.  Through her love of art and music she has been able to find solace in the long days and nights. Hope's spirits remain high thanks to the overwhelming support received from family, friends, the Larchmont Community, and the amazing medical team at the Children's Hospital of the Kings Daughters.
