My Story

Shane has had a long hard battle with cancer over the past 3yrs. He was first diagnosed Oct 2015 he started chemo right away then had surgery Jan 2016 to removed part of his left femur. He continued with chemo and July 2016 was declared cancer free. He had to have 2 more surgeries to repair his leg and a lot of physical therapy. Then March 2018 the cancer came back in his left leg. He started chemo again, but in May he had an infection after a chemo treatment. It got so bad so quick he crashed May 17th and we almost lost him. He is a fighter and pulled through. The bad news his kidneys where damaged and was put on dialysis for a month. His kidneys are better but still have not recovered enough to handle heavy dosages of chemo. So after many months of getting his body stronger mid March they will take his left leg. After it is totally healed he will be fitted for a prostetic leg and start rehabilitation. By the spring of 2020 Shane will finally be able to play baseball again.
