My Story

Alexis was Diagnosed with ALL in April 2018. She started out with a swollen lymph node behind her ear that quickly swelled and became extremely sore. After multiple trips to the ER, CT scans, ultrasounds, blood draws, and even surgery the doctors couldn’t figure out what was going on. She had an infectious disease dr who was trying to treat her, but couldn’t figure out what was causing the swelling. After 6 weeks and multiple antibiotics she was admitted once again into to hospital. After further testing of a previous biopsy, the stain showed lymphoma. She was moved to the cancer ward and the next day had a bone marrow aspiration done along with another CT scan and had a PICC line inserted. She was then diagnosed with ALL. 3 days later she had another surgery to place her med port and started treatment that day. She continues to fight like the warrior she is and does it all with a smile. Thank you for supporting me and the more than 300,000 kids worldwide who will be diagnosed with cancer this year. By sharing the gifts of your time, talent and money with the St. Baldrick’s Foundation, you're supporting research to give all kids with cancer a better chance for a cure.
