My Story

My Keegan born in early Fall '09 was diagnosed with Medulloblastoma at a very very young age leaving us no choice but to fight like hell to keep our one and only baby alive. Unfortunately, in June of '10 he relapsed with a lesion in his spine. His neurosurgeon removed 95% of the pea sized tumor and after testing his CSF it came back positive. Fast forward through one treatment, a failed attempt at a MSKCC, becoming paralyzed, and going through 6 weeks of proton radiation treatment in Bloomington........all before the tender age of two. During a follow-up scan on October 21st of this past year it showed the cancer didn't "melt away" like they thought, it instead grew right through it and took over his brain and spine. Keegan gained his angel wings on December 6th 2011 at 5:45 a.m.
