My Story

This is our son, Joel Zamora. He was diagnosed with Osteosarcoma September 2017. He was 9 years old. We were initially told everything was fine because we had gotten it diagnosed early (unfortunately not the case). We did our research and made the decisions of care that were presented to us. He has had 7 surgeries. Joel has relapsed twice since original diagnosis. This means the chemotherapy has not worked and the Cancer keeps spreading to different areas. He has had 2 lung surgeries, Rotationplasty, and a good portion of his hip removed due to the cancer. These are just a couple of the major surgeries. Due to the aggressiveness of the Cancer, the doctors are not hopeful. We are trying every thing possible so we can get Joel the best chance at life. Obviously as faithful Christians we are holding on to our faith and trusting God to heal Joel.
