Finley Stella is a loving, funny, imaginative, and artistic 4 year old. We had just welcomed her youngest brother a month prior when she began to exhibit troublesome symptoms. She began to have random bruising and being more tired than her usual self. What we thought would be a quick trip to the ER ended up turning our world upside down. Hearing the words “Your child has cancer” is something I wish no one would have to go through. Shortly after admission Finley got her port placed, a bone marrow biopsy, spinal chemo, and her first round of chemo in her port all in one day. She is the strongest and bravest little girl I have ever met. Finley was diagnosed with B cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia. We have a long road ahead of us (2+ years), but through our faith and village we can do anything. We hope by sharing our story we can help raise awareness and funding so that more kids like Finley receive life saving treatment that is only made possible through research.
