My Story

Addie was about a month old when I noticed a spot on her head. The spot grew, and grew. It changed shape and color and continued to grow. I took her in several times and she was seen by various providers at her pediatricians office. I knew something wasn’t right. I took her back in one last time to her actual provider, I was in tears. We all knew something wasn’t quite right. We took her in to a general surgeon at children’s hospital Colorado. She said she thought it was just a cyst. They removed it, they were a little puzzled but not concerned. A week later we got a phone call that Addie had AML. It was the most devastating phone call to date. They told us to pack some bags and that she’d need to be admitted right away. We spent 7 months in Aurora, Colorado for treatment. She finished chemo on 7/5/2020. She’s still in remission! Thank you for supporting me and the more than 300,000 kids worldwide who will be diagnosed with cancer this year. By sharing the gifts of your time, talent and money with the St. Baldrick's Foundation, you're supporting research to give all kids with cancer a better chance for a cure.
