After 2.5 years Addilyn is finally done with chemotherapy. On August 11th, she had surgery to remove her port as well. She has overcome so much during this battle and has won! There will be no more accessing the port, lumbar punctures, liver injuries, low blood sugars, broken feet, swallowing daily chemo pills, steroid hunger, fear of the dreaded trip to the ER for 100.4 temperature. I could go on and on.
It’s been a horrible journey and we are elated that we are at the end of this road. The light is bright, and despite all the long term possibilities, her future is bright!
