Can you think of anything more important than saving the life of a child?
This is my 15th year of fundraising for St. Baldrick’s and I am proud to have the honor of becoming a “Crusader For A Cure” With your help I have been able to raise over $44,800.00 to help find a cure for childhood cancer.
I started my St. Baldrick’s journey by participating in the Commack Schools head shaving events starting in 2011. When they stopped holding the events six years ago, I started the Mad Dog Soccer Games for a Cure with my soccer buddies who have been generous supporters through the years. The Mad Dogs play soccer every Saturday morning and collect money throughout the year for St. Baldrick’s. In March we hold our annual game for a cure and look for additional donations for this worthy cause.
I will be 68 years old when we play this year’s game and I’m not sure my knees will hold out for future games. As this may be my last event for St. Baldrick’s, I am asking you to once again donate to help find a cure for childhood cancer. I would feel very honored if I could reach $50,000.00 in total donations.
Cancer affects all of us in one way or another. However, I cannot think of anything worse than a child suffering from this terrible disease, or the pain the parents feel seeing their child suffer. Did you know that every 2 minutes a child is diagnosed with cancer somewhere in the world? And in the U.S., 1 in 5 will not survive. These kids need our help. Please help find a cure.
Thanks for taking the time to read this and for your past and future donations,
Jim Fawcett
