Spike for the Cure: A Spikeball Tournament for Childhood Cancer

We helped to raise money for childhood cancer research at: Geaux Bald 2020 - LSU Health Shreveport

The LSU Health Shreveport Spikeball Club is hosting a fundraising sports tournament on April 4th to help raise money for St. Baldrick’s Foundation & Childhood Cancer Research.

Spikeball is a new and exciting sport that is best described as a hybrid between volleyball and the classic recess game ‘4-square’. This one day event plans to bring students, faculty, hospital staff, and outside community members together for an outside day of athletics while raising money for a great cause. The winning teams of the tournament will receive a cash prize and an engraved trophy plaque.

For those who aren’t interested in actively participating in the tournament, we still encourage you to come out and have a fun day in the sun and support a great cause. We will have music, a food truck parked outside the field in the parking lot, Puppies, Frisbees, Cornhole, and other leisurely games to play. In addition to our sporting event, event T-shirts and raffle tickets for several exciting items will be available for purchase.

Please visit our official Facebook page for more details on the event: https://www.facebook.com/Shreveportroundnetclub

All proceeds and donations generated from the event will go to the St. Baldrick’s foundation.

So, when we ask for your support and donations, we're really asking you to support these kids.

Thanks for your donations, thoughts and prayers, and love!
