Why walk when you can Cartwheel??

We're helping to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Kurt’s Army at North Canton Racquet Club

Did you know that every 2 minutes a child is diagnosed with cancer somewhere in the world?

Sadly, in September of 2024, my brother was one of those kids! He was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (a type of blood cancer), at the age of 10.

It was really scary not knowing what was going to happen to him. One minute things are fine, the next minute him and my parents are on the way to the hospital. It was really sad and frustrating not knowing what to expect. It was hard watching him go through treatment. It made him really sick and he was not himself for a long time. I really missed him and my mom when they had to go to the hospital. Cancer doesn’t just affect the person going through it, it affects the whole family. Our routines were not the same and we had to miss out on a lot of things in order to keep my brother safe.

He is now in remission and in the maintenance phase of treatment. He is doing really well, but he still has about a year left of treatment.

He gets to return as an honored kid to this St Balderick’s event again this year! I’m really happy to be along side him and this year I’m participating in a fundraiser to help fund research for childhood cancer and find a cure!

I’ve decided to do cartwheels for cancer research, because, why walk when you can cartwheel?!
I will do 1 cartwheel for every $1.00 that I raise! My goal is to raise $1,000! That’s A LOT of cartwheels… but I’m ready, so bring it on!!

St. Baldrick’s is in its 25th year of supporting the best research across the U.S. and beyond!
Your donation is a great investment in hope for kids with cancer. It will drive groundbreaking research to transform the lives of children and their families for generations to come.

Thank you for helping me reach my goal and joining the effort to Conquer Kids’ Cancer!
