We helped to raise money for childhood cancer research at: Sneads Ferry, Camp Lejeune and Beyond: Going Bald for Children with Cancer

I'm wearing a backpack for 28 days in honor of my little friend Lola, age 7. She was my neighbor at Camp Lejeune, until she moved to be closer to her cancer treatments.

Thanks to a recent research breakthrough, kids with B-cell ALL are receiving a new lifesaving treatment through a backpack. It has increased their survival rate to 96% and has allowed them to be home, attend school, play with friends, and get back to doing the things they love.

I am taking on the backpack challenge to stand in solidarity with them during their treatment and raise funds to Send Kids Cancer Packing! I'm committed to raising $2,500 to represent the 2,500 kids that will be diagnosed with b-cell ALL this year and to fund research to help all kids with cancer.
