2026 Ambassador Laurel: Wants to Send Kids' Cancer Packing

We're helping to raise money for childhood cancer research

Laurel "Squirrel" was diagnosed with ALL on September 1st, 2022 and was moved to the high-risk category after she failed to achieve remission at 29 days. At the time of writing this, she has spent over 100 days, nearly half of her time since diagnosis, in hospital admission for various complications. Laurel finally achieved remission and is continuing the remainder of her COG trial treatment plan. Our hope is that she'll avoid relapse and that we can minimize late effects. But the reality is that remission is just the start of a lifetime of enduring consequences of the cancer and current forms of treatment. Laurel's family is motivated to advocate for better prevention and treatment so that other parents don't have to deal with the harsh realities of childhood cancer. Thank you for supporting Laurel and the more than 300,000 kids worldwide who will be diagnosed with cancer this year. By sharing the gifts of your time, talent and money with the St. Baldrick’s Foundation, you're supporting research to give all kids with cancer a better chance for a cure.
