Gears for Years 71 km Challenge

We helped to raise money for childhood cancer research with: ASC Madison at The Coopers Tavern

RSVP and get updates here Out of suffering have emerged the strongest souls; the most massive characters are seared with scars. - Khalil Gibran 71 is the average number of years lost to childhood cancers, so we're cycling 71 km (~44 mi) to raise funds for childhood cancer research. Want to ride with us? Buy-in is minimum $25 donation. Can't ride? Donate! Every bit helps. The ride will start and end at The Coopers Tavern, and we'll have stops for food/beverages along the way. The ride itself should take roughly 4 hours, but with stops it'll round out to 6 or so. If you're not riding, feel free to join us for post-ride libations at Coopers :)This ride will have a ride leader and it's a no-drop ride. People can be intimidated by a ride that they have never done when they think they will be left behind. We'll have experienced riders making sure no one is dropped. http://www.active.com/cycling/articles/6-basic-skills-for-group-rides *** Invite anyone who might be interested ***  Route & elevation info: https://ridewithgps.com/routes/12398888 We also might add a shorter route/scavenger hunt in Madison if there's enough demand.
