Did you know that backpacks can be a lifesaving device?
This is NEW therapy that did not exist when David was sick. I know he died from neuroblastoma but advances in research are what fuel me for all of the David's still in the fight.
It was David's final wish - to find cures for all kids with cancer.
St. Baldrick's has a new fundraiser and I have to see if I can carry it! My "activity" will happen at the end of September. I am honored to join a group of women at my stage in life, to go to the Peloton Studios in NYC and ride bikes!
David loved bike riding (although I'm not sure if he would be a spin bike kind of guy). I love riding bikes on the road or on my Peloton. And my dad. My dad was the guy on a bike all around the world. He is in his own personal hell right now with cancer. I've been through it. David died because of it. So let's take the negative and create a positive change for cancer research this month!
September 27-29 I'll wear my backpack through NYC, David's favorite city! I'm looking for those donations with a goal of $2,500! Read below about the backpacks and how they are helping kids have a more normal life during treatment. Thank YOU David's Warriors for being the hope for kids!

Thanks to a recent research breakthrough, kids with B-cell ALL are receiving a new lifesaving treatment through a backpack. It has increased their survival rate to 96% and has allowed them to be home, attend school, play with friends, and get back to doing the things they love.
I am taking on the backpack challenge to stand in solidarity with them during their treatment and raise funds to Send Kids Cancer Packing! I’m committed to raising $2,500 to represent the 2,500 kids that will be diagnosed with b-cell ALL this year and to fund research to help all kids with cancer. Please consider donating – YOU pack the power to take childhood back from cancer!
