Who would have thought that baldness and heroism could go hand in hand? THANK YOU to all the heroic citizens of Jacksonville who bared their beautiful bald heads, volunteered and donated to help shave the way to a cure for pediatric cancer—together we raised over $40,000!! Check out just some of the people who helped make a difference On SATURDAY, MAY 8 at Nemours Chilren's Clinic, we cheered our heroes on as they shaved their heads to show solidarity to children with cancer and to raise money for childhood cancer research. Our shavers are enthusiastically supported by friends, doctors, family, nurses, children and others who have been touched by cancer to further draw awareness to the fact that pediatric cancer, the #1 killer of children, is terribly under-funded. .......SILENT AUCTION STILL LIVE!........ Takde home original pieces donated by AIGA and local artists, including graphic posters, watercolors, photography and more.
