HONG KONG INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL

Be a hero for kids with cancer! This is the HKIS Year of Milestones. First, congratulations to HKIS on its 50th Anniversary! And on March 16, 2017, HKIS will be hosting its 10th Anniversary St. Baldrick's Day Event. Shaving the way to conquer kid's cancer! The 2016 HKIS St. Baldrick's Day Event was a tremendous success! And with thanks to the 80 Shavees that were shorn on that festive afternoon. Most importantly, the Shavees, along with their thoughtful and generous family, friends and the HKIS community donated a 'hair-raising' HK$1,026,853.00. Those donations are being used to fund the most promising childhood cancer research to help find cures and to provide children that have been touched by cancer long and healthy lives. HKIS, you have made a difference! Since the first HKIS St. Baldrick's Day event in 2008, HK$11,887,996.00 has been raised and 865 Shavees, mostly students, are to be commended for their dedication to this all important cause. The 10th Anniversary HKIS St. Baldrick's Day Event will be the greatest event to date. There will be entertainment by our HKIS students, food, refreshments. music and it's guaranteed to be 'shear' fun! Join this St. Baldrick's event, and whether you decide to shave your head, volunteer, or donate, we hope you'll be a part of the excitement! The St. Baldrick's Foundation is a volunteer-powered charity that funds more in childhood cancer research grants than any organization except the U.S. government. Get involved and you'll be giving hope to infants, children, teens and young adults fighting childhood cancers!
