You did it! They did it! Heads are shaved, and we are so pleased that they are!
Shavee's went bald to stand in solidarity with kids fighting cancer. Even more important, though, you did it to raise money for life-saving research.
Thank you for being a supporter of one or more of the 293 Shavees at the Napper Tandys 2009 event, to help us raise more than $145,000 to date for the St. Baldricks Foundation, giving hope to kids with cancer and their families. We couldnt have done it without you!
Last year, the St. Baldricks Foundation funded childhood cancer research in a big way " over $15 million in grants! These funds went to pediatric cancer experts who are looking for cures today, as well as to young Fellows and Scholars who will be the experts of tomorrow.
In these times of economic uncertainty, we are sure of two things: First, kids are still being diagnosed with cancer and still need our help. And second, you care. Thank you for supporting and participating in St. Baldricks, on behalf of some very special kids.
Well be shaving heads again next year, so if you want to volunteer or get more involved, please let us know.any and all suggestions for next year are always welcome too. Were going to keep Shaving the Way to Conquer Kids Cancer until every child can be cured!
Sincerely,
The Redwoods Group Team for the Napper Tandys 2009 St. Baldricks Event
