Eighth Annual Cleveland Heights Head-Shaving Event!

Be bold. Be Brave. Be bald.
Cleveland Heights will host its 8th annual St Baldrick's head-shaving event on Sunday, March 17th. Men, women, boys, and girls are invited to register for this very special event, as we attempt to raise more than $125,000 to fund life-saving research.
We welcome shavees of all ages (and have had some as young as 3) and also offer the option for girls and women to cut and donate their hair instead of doing the full shave. If you choose this route, you sign up as a shavee, but edit your participant page to explain that you're raising money for St Baldrick's but will donate your hair to one of four organizations that makes wigs. You'll have to cut at least six inches, and can have grey or color-treated hair (you'll get a quick and messy cut during the event but will receive a coupon for a free haircut at Shawn Paul Salon for use after the fact).
This event is held in honor of Rebecca Meyer, who died of a brain tumor on her 6th birthday, and all proceeds go directly to the St. Baldrick's research fund that her parents established. It is also held in honor of my son Austin Gallagher, a two-time survivor of bilateral Wilms tumor, who will be shaving his head for the 9th time this year.
You have the power to give parents hope, give doctors medical breakthroughs, and give children the futures they deserve. Join us.

St. Baldrick’s Honored Kids

Kids with cancer are our reason for it all. They’re the inspiration behind our event and the reason we’re helping fund childhood cancer research. We believe all kids should be able to grow up and turn their dreams into realities. Join our event or make a donation, and click the photos below to read their incredible stories.
