The Saints & Scholars Irish Pub event began in 2012 under the leadership of Ravenscroft students. Participants at the event have their heads shaved to stand in solidarity with children fighting cancer. Leading up to events, participants are encouraged to raise money for childhood cancer research. In addition to head-shaving and fundraising for the St. Baldrick’s Foundation, we encourage girls who don’t want to shave their heads to participate by cutting off eight inches of their hair to donate to Pantene Beautiful Lengths. Pantene then makes real hair wigs for women undergoing cancer treatment. In the past three years, this event has raised over $300,000 for St. Baldrick’s, and we hope to see this event continue to raise money and awareness for childhood cancer research.
