Event Details

The academy is the training site for the second largest fire department in the nation. Built on the site where the Great Chicago Fire of 1871 is believed to have started. Legend has it that it was a cow in Mrs. O'Leary's barn knocking over a lantern that began the fire, but recent investigations suggest this story May be fictitious. The fire academy pays tribute to those who serve the Windy City and donate their lives to the safety of Chicago's citizens.

    Alderman Ginger Rugai will be shaving heads

  • 11:00

    Commish Oroczo will be shaving heads, starting with Chief Edgeworths

  • 1:00pm

    The shop is closed, we'll reopen later at 115 BourbonSt.

  • 6:00 pm

    2007 Bald Bash back at 115 Bourbon St. $25 for booze, appetizers and more shaving. Anyone with a freshly shaven head getting in free.

  • 7:00pm

    Kathryn Simpson, our top individual fundraiser will be going under the clippers
