Join us the first-ever “Buzz & Brews” head-shaving event and fundraiser for the St. Baldrick’s Foundation. As a participant, you’ll brave the shave to show support and spread awareness for much-needed childhood cancer research while inspiring members of the community to get involved!
It’s no secret that cancer treatment is extremely taxing on the body, but the side effects of cancer treatments are much more severe on bodies that are still developing.
So when you see “childhood” or “kids’ cancer”, they’re really referring to babies, teens, and young adults. Today, through dedicated research, about 90% of kids with the most common types of cancer will live. But the battle is not over - 99% of survivors will have a chronic health problem or life-threatening condition caused by cancer treatments they had as kids, and 1 in 5 will not live to see their 30th birthday.
The St. Baldrick’s Foundation is the largest non-government funder of childhood cancer research grants. Over six hundred million shaved heads later, they have raised over $368 million in grants since 2005. We’re counting on YOU to brave the shave and help reach our goal of $30,000.
Sign up to participate or to raise money another way. Can’t join us? Please make a generous donation to give kids the long, healthy lives they deserve.
Let's get buzzed and conquer kids' cancer!
