It is said that a child's smile instantly lights up a room. So, we have to ask ourselves: 'Why should a child's smile be taken from the world before it has the opportunity shine brighter?'
The Pi Kappa Alpha, Delta Sigma Chapter of Bradley University hosts an annual event entitled "St. Baldrick's Day." We raise money to see to it that the children continue to smile and to give children with the disadvantage of cancer the opportunity to keep fighting and change the world like the rest of us.
These brave kids will never quit fighting because they refuse to be hindered by cancer. We are all God's children and that is why we shave our heads as an act of support and solidarity. At the Baldrick's event, we will celebrate. Live music and a barbecue will be held to commemorate a great day. We ask that you join us in our efforts as we help to fight children's cancer.
