Be a hero for kids with cancer! Join this St. Baldrick's event, and whether you decide to shave your head, volunteer, or donate, we hope you'll be a part of the excitement! Let's do this Monrovia!! The 2nd Annual Old Town FUZZFEST is live and registered with the St Baldricks Foundation.  Last year was an amazing example of what we can do when we work together to love each other. In 3 1/2 weeks of preparation, we shattered our  original goal of $10,000.00 and raised a whopping $38,480.00 for childhood cancer research. YOU GO MONROVIANS!!  I'm humbled by the overwhelming support that was given toward this worthy cause by our community leaders, hometown heroes, and the dozens of CHILDREN who chose to participate by shaving their little heads and raising money for their peers around the world who are praying for cures to what ails them. That's what it's all about!  Let's get excited to get the ball rolling on next years event. Imagine what we can accomplish and how many lives we may help save by working toward raising funds over the next 5.5 months, instead of just 3 little weeks....  This year I'm aiming high. $100,000.00 toward finding cures for childhood cancer with the St Baldricks Foundation. Is that a lot? Heck yes. Can we smash it? Absolutely! Why? Because nothing is more valuable than the life of a child.  There are so many ways to get involved. And No, not everyone has to shave their heads to participate (although, that is the best part :-)).
