Event Details

As the Interact Club of Winston Churchill High School we are hosting our biannual Bald for Bucks campaign. On April 16th, 2014 during i2 time (10:12am-10:50am) students and teachers who have raised funds for childhood cancer research will be getting their heads shaved by stylists from a local hair salon. We are excited to be working with both the Childhood Cancer Canada Foundation and St. Baldrick's Foundation. The money raised will be going towards research at the seventeen children's hospitals in Canada through the C17 Research Network. About 10,000 children the same age as Churchill's students or younger are living with cancer today. In the 1950's under 10% of children diagnosed with cancer survived. Due to funds raised by events just like ours, today more than 70% of children are long-term survivors. We know that we can make that number even higher, but we need your help to do it! We are so grateful for your donations and support! For more information follow us @WCHS_Interact, Facebook: WCHS Interact 2013/2014

St. Baldrick’s Honored Kids

Kids with cancer are our reason for it all. They’re the inspiration behind our event and the reason we’re helping fund childhood cancer research. We believe all kids should be able to grow up and turn their dreams into realities. Join our event or make a donation, and click the photos below to read their incredible stories.
