Lincolnshire and Wheeling Professional Firefighters

Please join the Lincolnshire-Riverwoods L4224 and Wheeling L3079 Firefighters and be a hero for kids with cancer! The Lincolnshire and Wheeling Professional Firefighters are in the 7th year of hosting this great event for kids cancer research. Over the past 6 years we have raised over $250,000! Our 2014 event raised just over $50,000. Along with all the head shaving, we will again have silent auctions, 50/50 raffles, special guests, and a larger Kids Zone. Please Join us for our annual St. Baldrick's event, whether you decide to shave your head, volunteer, or donate, we hope you'll be a part of the excitement on March 7th, 2015 (Black Shift) Worldwide, 175,000 children are diagnosed with cancer each year. And in the U.S., more children die of childhood cancer than any other disease—more than AIDS, asthma, cystic fibrosis, congenital anomalies and diabetes combined. Two-thirds of children treated for childhood cancer will suffer long-term effects from treatment including loss of hearing and sight, heart disease, secondary cancers, learning disabilities, infertility and more. Get involved and you'll be giving hope to infants, children, teens and young adults fighting childhood cancers. Cant wait to see you all out at our event! Any questions or want to get involved? Contact one of our Event Organizers Michael Vitale or Adam Gambro.

St. Baldrick’s Honored Kids

Kids with cancer are our reason for it all. They’re the inspiration behind our event and the reason we’re helping fund childhood cancer research. We believe all kids should be able to grow up and turn their dreams into realities. Join our event or make a donation, and click the photos below to read their incredible stories.
