Bald on the Bayou RETURNS in 2021, and we're coming back with a splash: For the first time ever, we're going bald in the springtime!
After pausing our annual fall event in 2020 due to the pandemic, we just couldn't wait to get back to work furthering the mission and the cause of childhood cancer research!
SHAVE DAY is April 17th, and we're excited to be hosting this year's event at the Louisiana Purchase Gardens and Zoo in Monroe! We always enjoy partnering with local venues, and we are pumped to shave at the Zoo in 2021!
We will have a lot of fun activities, food trucks with great eats for purchase, and more! Proper protocols will be observed, including sanitization and mask-wearing. We understand that there are folks who don't believe in or see the benefit of masks, but we ask you to put that aside for this event, if for no other reason than the realization that we will have some cancer fighters, survivors, and other immune-compromised individuals in attendance and it's flu season, too! :)
Don't want to shave your head? No problem! Come out, have fun, enjoy the festivities, and support both the event participants and the kids and families that we are fighting for!
The St. Baldrick's Foundation is a volunteer-powered charity that funds more in childhood cancer research grants than any organization except the U.S. government. Get involved and you'll be giving hope to infants, children, teens and young adults fighting childhood cancers!
