The 2013 Napper Tandy’s St. Baldrick’s Event is just weeks away. We look forward to another successful year on March 2nd, rain or shine. If you are interested in being a part of this event, please register ASAP, if you have not done so already. This is important so we can better accommodate you, your family and friends this year. Plus guarantee you a shirt the day of the event. You will be contacted a week before the event to be scheduled for a shave time. St. Baldrick’s events have raised approximately $90 million, providing research grants to doctors and scientists at over 230 institutions to pursue the most promising new cures for childhood cancer and to help make clinical trials available to more children than ever. Since 2000, St. Baldrick’s has hosted more than 3,200 head-shaving events, shaving nearly 145,000 heads in 28 countries and 50 U.S. states. In 2012 ALONE the Raleigh Napper Tandy’s event raised $354,168.00 and had 645 brave Shavees (men, woman and children)! Since 2007, our event has raised over $1,324,094.00 and shaved over 2,100 heads. When planning for this year’s event, our host is pleased to provide everyone with free parking in the parking garage across from their pub. Please leave ALL personal items in your car, as we do not have a place to store them for you during the event. We apologize in advance for any inconvenience this may cause. When you arrive the day of the event to shave, please sign in at the registration table located inside, on the stage. At this time, you will be able to pick up your name tag before you receive your t-shirt. T-shirts will be located outside by the stage area. If you do not have a name tag, you will be unable to pick up your t-shirt. We will also be accepting a few new craft and merchandise vendors for this year’s event.
