This is my 5th year taking part in helping to raise money and awareness for St Baldrick's. I am honored to be a part of such a fantastic endeavor and I am forever grateful to those who have been there with me both physically and emotionally on the days of the events. I am, also, forever grateful to those of you who have donated money to such a great cause. I am asking for your help again this year. This year I have chosen to support two children. One child that I know/have met (and is the reason for me getting involved in this event in the first place) and am happy to have found out that she is now cancer-free so I am so excited for Meghan and her family (Way to go Meghan and Susie!!!). But I have also chosen to honor someone that I don't know. His name was Justin Miller and he was a 2012 St Baldrick's Ambassador. I had read about him when he was named one of the Ambassador's and pulled for him to beat cancer from afar. Unfortunately, as is the case with way too many of these incredible children, Justin's 10 year old body wasn't strong enough for, I believe, his 6th "fight" with cancer. That's not to say that Justin wasn't strong because I think he is a stronger person than I'll ever be. For this reason I want to honor Justin, his memory, and what he fought so hard for throughout his life. Please help me in doing so by donating whatever you can. I truly appreciate it and I am sure so do all of the families of children who are fighting this terrible disease.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart,
Rob Baxter
I'm shaving my head to raise money for childhood cancer research! Did you know that kids' cancers are different from adult cancers? It's true. And childhood cancer research is extremely underfunded. So I decided to do something about it by raising money for cures.
Now I need your help! Will you make a donation? Every dollar makes a difference for the thousands of infants, children, teens, and young adults fighting childhood cancers.
