This is my third year organizing the St. Baldrick's event at Olympic Heights and for the 3rd year in a row, I will be shaving my head bald in solidarity with those children that often lose their hair during the aggressive chemotherapy treatments.
For me, its not about all of the preparation, or even the shaving, but the ability to raise awareness and funds for this necessary cause. The St. Baldrick's foundation uses money for childhood cancer research, in hopes that during our lifetime, we will find a cure.
