Yep, you read it right. I am finally stepping up to shave!!! Since 2006 I have supported my husband in his annual St. Baldrick’s shaving efforts, volunteered, and hosted an event in 2009. Committing my hair to this cause is the next logical step on my St. Baldrick’s journey and the perfect way to celebrate my son's 5-year diagnosis anniversary. (Jackson was diagnosed with an lethal type of cancer called Rhabdoid Tumor of the Kidney in Sept. 2005).

The best part about my shave-off is that I will not be doing it alone! Forty-five cancer moms will be shaving by my side. Our team, 46 Mommas Shave for the Brave, is as much about awareness as we are about money. We will shave in September in an effort to bring attention to Childhood Cancer Awareness Month and the fact that every school day an average of 46 children are diagnosed with cancer in the America.

The past 4+ years I have experienced amazing generosity from family, friends, and complete strangers. This time I'm purposefully placing myself before another lofty hurdle and I ask for your support. Please give to my bald head. No gift is too small and every gift is meaningful.
