I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: UCCOM_LC6

Did you know that every 3 minutes a child is diagnosed with cancer? With my bald head I'll be standing in solidarity with kids receiving cancer treatments, and with your support we can help raise money to fund life-saving research (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QOddbVKDYhg&list=PL3E9676C011AE98F8). The St. Baldrick's Foundation is the largest private fundraiser of childhood cancer research grants and second only to the US government. Generous donors like you make it possible for the St. Baldrick's Foundation to continue funding the best research. As a volunteer-driven charity, St. Baldrick's keeps fundraising costs low and grants high. In 2013 alone, St. Baldrick's donated over $24.5 million to childhood cancer research - almost all raised by more than 58,000 "shavees" like me, from people like you! I hope I can count on your support to reach my fundraising goal of $750. This year I have chosen to shave my head in honor of one of St. Baldrick's 2012 child ambassadors, Justin Miller. I first saw Justin's story last summer, and his strength and fighting spirit instantly touched my heart (I could also easily identify with his love of Legos!). He courageously battled through seven bouts of neuroblastoma after being diagnosed in 2006 at the age of three, but tragically he passed away in late January of this year. I can only hope that through our efforts we can help other children successfully battle cancer and beat the odds. Here's a brief video of Justin's story I strongly encourage you to watch: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bPXBd1-ARxI Please make a donation on my head to Conquer Childhood Cancers! I'll make sure to send some great photos once the deed is done! Thank you for your support.
