Drew was told on October 20th that he has Burkitt's Lymphoma. This is a Non‐Hodgkins form of lymphoma that affects about 300 people per year in the US, and is a very rapid growing cancer cell. The bad news; it can double its size in 48 hours. The good news; it responds very well to chemotherapy. There is a 90% success rate with this type of chemo and it rarely metastasizes. Drew's chemo regimen is very intense due to the nature of the cancer. Dr. Taub out of Children's Hospital is his doctor and a cancer survivor himself. He is amazing. Drew is homebound during his treatment because his immunity is so low and he has to be very careful. Romeo is an amazing community ‐ a small town with a huge heart. This journey has helped Drew to realize that he wants to go into Oncology as a profession. Drew and I are very grateful for all of the support, love, and prayers from all of you. Your support, along with strong faith, helps us to stay strong and feel secure. Drew loves lacrosse, football, and his girlfriend Sara. These are his driving forces. Please know all of your support is helping Drew fight to win
