Dan McKenna, 23, has challenged himself to “Conquer Atacama” - a commitment to running the Atacama Crossing Race in Chile to raise awareness and funds for childhood cancer research and pay tribute to five of the St. Baldrick’s Foundation’s New York-area Honored Kids. The Atacama Crossing is part of the RacingThePlanet 4 Deserts series, a unique category of rough country footraces that take place over seven days and in remote and culturally rich locations around the world.
